Navigation and filters
The dashboard is organised around a left-side icon rail, an optional secondary sidebar that appears for sections that have one, and per-page filter controls. The site you're working in is set globally from the top of the icon rail.
Icon rail
The narrow column on the far left of the screen is the icon rail. Hover over any icon to see a tooltip with the name of the section.
Site switcher
At the top of the rail you'll find the Mambo logo and the site switcher (the globe icon). It controls which site every other section operates on. Switching the site reloads the data shown in Analytics, Users, Gamification and so on.
Clicking it opens a dropdown that lists all the sites in your account. If you have more than five sites, a search box appears at the top of the list. The dropdown also includes:
- Create site: opens the site-creation form (requires Editor permissions or above).
- Manage: takes you to the sites list, where you can edit, clone or delete sites.
Main sections
Below the site switcher, the rail shows one icon per top-level section:
- Analytics: the dashboard view showing engagement metrics for the active site.
- Users: the users list.
- Gamification: Points, Behaviours, Rewards, Leaderboards, Coupons and KPIs.
- Advanced: Tags, Custom fields, Languages and Data stores.
Help, account and admin profile
At the bottom of the rail you'll find:
- Help (question-mark dropdown): links to the documentation, the keyboard-shortcuts dialog, and the About dialog.
- Account settings: admin-level settings (Personal, Authentication, Administrators, API keys, Groups, Webhooks, Templates, API version). Only visible to administrators.
- Console: operations dashboard for platform administrators. Only visible to Mambo administrators.
- Admin profile (your initials at the very bottom): opens a menu with the language switcher, theme toggle, and log-out action.
Secondary sidebar
Sections that have multiple sub-pages (Gamification, Advanced, Account settings and Console) show a secondary sidebar to the right of the icon rail when you're inside one of them. The secondary sidebar can be collapsed to a thin strip with the toggle in its top-right corner; the rest of the screen reflows to use the freed space.
Sections without sub-pages (Analytics, Users) take you directly to the relevant page without a secondary sidebar.
The Sites surface is reached through the site-switcher dropdown rather than a top-level icon. There is no secondary sidebar for Sites; you click Manage in the dropdown to go to the list.
Filters
Filters are scoped to the page you're on, which means each list shows only the filters relevant to its data:
- The users table has a tag filter and a search box. The tag filter matches users that have any of the selected tags.
- Most other lists (Behaviours, Rewards, KPIs, etc.) have a search box and may add list-specific filters where useful.
- Analytics has a segment selector and a date-range picker at the top of the page; both apply to every tab. Segments are built from analytics-enabled tags. See Analytics for details.
Keyboard shortcuts
Most pages support keyboard shortcuts. Press ? anywhere in the dashboard to bring up the full list, including page-specific shortcuts. The shortcuts that work across most data tables are:
V: view the selected rowE: edit the selected rowDel: delete the selected row↑/↓: move the selection up or down the table
