Analytics
Analytics is the dashboard view that shows how users are engaging with the strategy configured for the active site. The page is organised as a fixed set of tabs, so there's no need to assemble dashboards or place widgets manually. Pick a date range and a segment, then drill into whichever metric you care about.
Page header controls
Two controls at the top of the page apply to every tab.
Segment selector
The segment selector picks one or more user segments to slice the data by. Segments are built from tags that have analytics enabled. You can:
- Compare up to a few segments side by side, with each segment's data plotted in its own colour.
- Toggle whether the "All users" series is visible alongside the segments.
- Switch on segment-vs-segment comparison.
When segment comparison is on, the date-range comparison is disabled (and vice versa). You can compare across either segments or time periods, but not both at once.
Date range picker
Pick a preset (Today, Last 7 days, This month, etc.) or a custom range. You can optionally enable a comparison period: the same metric is plotted for the comparison range on the same chart, so you can see whether engagement is trending up or down.
The date range and comparison setting are encoded in the URL, so copying the URL to a teammate gives them exactly the same view.
Tabs
Overview
A high-level snapshot of the site:
- A KPI strip with the headline numbers (activities, users, points, behaviours, rewards). Click any KPI to jump straight to the corresponding tab.
- A trend chart showing activity volume over the selected period.
- A points-economy card.
- Ranked-list cards for the top behaviours and top rewards in the period, with delta vs the comparison range when one is set.
Activity
Activity volume over time, with two toggles:
- Report type: count events, count unique users per period, or show cumulative totals.
- Granularity: daily, weekly, or monthly buckets (auto-selected based on the date range; can be overridden).
A KPI strip beneath the chart breaks down totals for the selected period.
User
User growth over time. Shows users created, deleted and active, with the same report-type and granularity toggles as the Activity tab. A user KPI strip summarises the totals.
Point
Per-point analytics. The tab has a wallet selector at the top so you can switch between point types when you have more than one configured. Each wallet shows points earned, redeemed, expired and the resulting balance over time. When you have segments selected, a per-segment breakdown table compares wallet activity across segments.
Behaviour
Behaviour analytics with two views:
- A ranked list of behaviours by volume, with delta vs the previous period.
- A chart that overlays whichever behaviours you select on the list.
You can multi-select up to a handful of behaviours to compare them on the same chart. When segment comparison is on, picking a single behaviour drills down to a per-segment breakdown of that behaviour.
Reward
Same shape as the Behaviour tab, but for rewards (achievements, levels, gifts, missions). Pick rewards from the ranked list to overlay them on the chart.
Sharing a view
Almost every control on the page is encoded in the URL: the active tab, date range, segments, selected wallet, selected behaviours and rewards, report-type and granularity overrides. To share a particular view with a colleague, just copy the URL from your browser and send it to them; they'll land on the same tab with the same filters applied.
